About Emily Garrod
I am a New York and West Virginia State-licensed psychologist and a Certified Interpersonal Psychoanalyst and I have been working exclusively online for since 2017. During my almost 30 years of counseling individuals, couples and groups, I have developed a unique blend of Interpersonal psychoanalytic, cognitive-behavioral and mind-body awareness promoting techniques to help patients reduce anxiety and depression, and achieve creative, professional and relational goals. My long-standing Buddhist meditation practice has also helped me to listen more deeply over the years and to view each patient as not just a personality, but an integrated being with an inextricably linked experience of body and mind.
